WHAT IS TOOLS OF TRUST

Tools of Trust is a pavilion of the 6th edition of The Wrong Biennale. Tools of Trust explores the nature of trust in the digital age. The exhibition features 9 curated works, of which 4 were selected through an open call. Not the background of the artists, but the discourse of trust in the individual works decided upon their inclusion. The works range in medium from 3D animation to video to interactive web experiences.

The exhibition's title, Tools of Trust, refers to the ways in which we build and maintain trust in our relationships, our institutions, and our world. In today's interconnected world, we rely on digital tools to communicate, collaborate, and exchange information. But these tools can also be used to manipulate, deceive, and exploit. Tools of Trust refers to the engagement we have with our everyday object, the obedience to the elements that provide our trust in our vida cotidiana which lead our practice. Trust can become a believe, almost a stationary religion. It can be found in migration, individual metaphors and symbolism, connects lust and cult. Trust is one of the basic human emotions. Trust takes all kinds of forms. Trust is everywhere. We all have tools to embark our trust in our personal niche.

It is the paths we show to our common. It is the insight to the dis-belief, it is the imagery of decentralization that keeps us running. It is the cushion that surrounds our electronics and the visuals of the grotseque. We build our own worlds, our own games. We build exhibitions, and we connect through The Wrong Biennale.

Tools of Trust. 1st of November 2023 - 31st March 2024.
